This happens to me only occasionally. I am a chronic worrier though so I always put my keys in the same place otherwise I lay awake worrying that I won't be able to find them in the morning. I also leave my keys in the fridge ontop of my lunch because I am so afraid of leaving that behind in the morning. I still have sick feelings in my tummy because I lost a Troll keyring that my sister had given me when I was 13. I can't let it go because I lost it!

I actually have my sister to thank for my worrying about losing crucial things. She has lost her purse more times than I care to remember, forgot tickets to the boat to Tasmania for 15 teenagers, and loses her care everytime we go shopping!
